Bertha Mae LengacherBertha Mae Lengacher, 85, Ligonier, passed away on Jan. 19, 2015, at Life Care in LaGrange, Ind.

She was born on Sept. 2, 1929, in Gewaga County, Ohio to Clemonce S. and Barbara U. (Mast) Yoder. On May 4, 1950, Bertha married Edwin J. Lengacher. He preceded her in death on Dec. 9, 1981.

She was a member of Townline Mennonite Church and owned the Wagon Wheel Craft store in Ligonier. Bertha was a member of The Golden Girls Widow’s Club and enjoyed life to the fullest.

She is survived by her daughter: Carol Renee Conner, Cave Creek, Az.; her brother: Stephen Yoder, Homeworth, Ohio; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband; a son: Larry Wayne Lengacher; two infant children; three brothers and a sister.

A time of visitation will be at 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Thursday Jan. 22 at Yeager Funeral Home, 1589 Lincolnway South, Ligonier, IN 46767. The funeral service in Mrs. Lengacher’s honor will be at 10 a.m. Friday, Jan. 23 at Townline Mennonite Church, 2165 South 1000W, Shipshewana, IN 46565 with Pastor Mel Eash officiating. There will be a time of visitation one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will follow the service in Hawpatch Cemetery in Topeka, Ind.

Memorial contributions may be given to Townline Mennonite Church.
