Lloyd ‘Louie’ Lambright

Lloyd 'Louie' LambrightLloyd “Louie” Lambright, 65, passed away on Sunday, Aug. 7, 2016, at the Avalon Village Nursing Home, Ligonier. He was born on Dec. 15, 1950, to Amos D. and Edna J. (Gingerich) Lambright in Topeka.

Lloyd was a man of many traits. He worked for many years as a factory worker for Redman Homes as well as a volunteer firefighter in Topeka. Acquiring his auctioneer’s license, Lloyd got together with his siblings to pull together a few successful auctions. He liked to play softball and golf. He had no problem making friends wherever he was. He knew a lot of people and a lot of people knew him, too.

He is survived by his son: Zachary (Sara) Lambright, Tucson, Ariz.; sister: Lucille (John) Kurtz, Topeka; brother: Richard (Barbara) Lambright, Simpsonville, S.C.; along with several nieces and nephews. Lloyd is preceded in death by his parents: Amos and Edna Lambright; and his infant sister: Arlene Lambright.

A memorial service will be held in Lloyd’s honor at 11 a.m. Friday, Aug. 12, at Maple Grove Church, Topeka. Pastor Harold Gingerich will officiate. A private burial will follow at a later date. Family and friends will be received from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 11, at Maple Grove Church.

Yeager Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Memorial contributions may be made in Lloyd’s name to Maple Grove Church.
