
Mary Anne “Claire” Johnson
Mary Anne “Claire” Johnson, age 85, Ligonier, formerly of Davenport, Fla., passed away July 21, 2016, at home.
She was born Aug. 22, 1930, the daughter of Octave Henry and Marie Anne Rosalie (Guimond) Grondin. On March 18, 1950, she married Byron Harbison; he preceded her in death in 2006.
She is survived by, three children: Vivian (Robert Warren) Ernsperger, Cromwell, Debbie (Bill) Consiglio, Woodhaven, Mich., and John Harbison, Riverview, Mich; 10 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; a sister, Loraine (David) Carvalho, Davenport, Fla.; and her companion, Dr. Floyd Warren, Ligonier.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Barry Byron Harbison; a brother, Robert Grondin; and her husband Bill Johnson.
Claire retired from Ford Motor Company in 1989 after nearly 20 years of service. She attended the Presbyterian church in Ligonier and loved to do jigsaw and crossword puzzles. Claire was also an avid movie goer and loved her family dearly.
A private family service will be held at Yeager Funeral Home, Ligonier, Monday, July 25, with Pastor John Lersch officiating. Memorial contributions may be directed to The Loyal Order of The Moose Lodge, 155 S. International Dr., Mooseheart, IL 60539.
