Nancy E. SuttonNancy E. Sutton, 93, Topeka, formerly of Ligonier, passed away on Wednesday, March 2, 2016, at The Northridge Village in Albion. She was born on June 15, 1922, the daughter of John and Freda (Nelson) Stoltz in Topeka. On Oct. 13, 1946, she married Robert W. Sutton; he preceded her in death in 2003.

She is survived by her beloved children: Jane (Vern) Cookson, Indianapolis; Julie (Doug) Feightner, Albion; son-in-law: Byron Hooley, Fort Wayne; nine grandchildren: Jason Cookson, Chicago, Ill.; Ashley Cookson, Indianapolis; Zachary (Teresa) Feightner, Garrett; Haley; Tori Feightner, Louisville,Ky.; Abby (Benji) Knox, Pinnacle, N.C.; Cory (Sarah) Hooley, Fort Wayne; Derek (Angela) Hooley, Atlanta, Ga.; 16 great-grandchildren; and sister: Rose Troyer, Ligonier. She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; daughter: Janet Hooley; and brothers: Tom and Ross Stoltz.

Nancy graduated from the Ligonier High School in 1940. She then worked for the George Master Garment Corp., in Ligonier and went on to become a school secretary for the Westview School Corporation. Nancy enjoyed to read and complete crossword puzzles. She was very talented at sewing and crocheting. Her positive attitude and one of a kind laugh always will be things greatly missed by the ones who loved her.

A Funeral Service will be held in Nancy’s honor at 2 p.m. Sunday, March 6, at the Topeka United Methodist Church, Topeka. Pastor Kevin DeKoninck will officiate. Burial will take place at Eden Cemetery in Topeka. Family and friends will be received from 3-7 p.m. Saturday, March 5, at the church. Yeager Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

In Lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be directed to the Topeka United Methodist Church.
