Buddy Dean ToddBuddy Dean Todd, 80, Albion, passed away at home, with his family by his side, on Wednesday, Jan. 13, 2016, as the result of natural causes. He was born on April 2, 1935, the son of Gerald and Madeline (Weeks) Todd. On Nov. 27, 1954, he married Beverly Jean Taylor; she survives.

Also surviving are six children: Charles (Dianne) Todd, Wauseon, Ohio; Steven (Pam) Todd, Albion; Kevin (Nanc) Todd, Albion; Diana Lawson, Reno, Nev.; Kimberly Ross, Albion; and Jeffrey Todd, Kendallville; ten grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister: Janice Pearsall; and his granddaughter: Shannon Ross.

Buddy was a lifetime resident of Albion, graduated from Albion Jefferson High School, and served his country honorably in the United States Army from 1954-57. He retired from International Harvester and worked at the Manapogo Park. Buddy was a hardworking man and also drove for Jet Trucking, CMW Transport, and Aggregate Industries. He had a love for music that followed him all his life. Buddy was a master of the steel guitar and played several other instruments as well. Some of his proudest moments were spent playing music and singing with his family. He and his wife Beverly have been faithful members of the Ligonier Church of Christ for over 40 years.

Family and friends will be received 3-8 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 17, at the Ligonier Church of Christ, Ligonier. A funeral service in Buddy’s honor will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Jan. 18, at the Ligonier Church of Christ. Pastors Randy Penwell and Brett Freymier will officiate. A private burial will take place at a later date.

Memorial contributions may be directed to the Ligonier Church of Christ or Parkview Home Health and Hospice, Kendallville. Yeager Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
