Marion McFadden, 86, of Ligonier, passed away on Thanksgiving Day, Nov. 28, 2024 at her daughter’s home in Syracuse.
She was born on Oct. 23, 1938 the daughter of Grover Thomas and Bernadine (Hecker) Barnicle in Carrolltown, Penn.
She is survived by her daughter, Kimberly (Kenny) Johnson of Syracuse; three grandchildren, Allen (Darla) Jordan of Kimmell, Nichole (Marcus) Miller of North Webster, and Cody (Baylee) Ratliff of Fort Wayne; seven great-grandchildren; a sister, Kathleen Przeslica of Parma, Ohio; and a nephew, Dan (Laura) Przeslica of Parma, Ohio.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and a great-grandson, Kyle Jordan.
Marion was a long time resident of Ligonier and retired from Tenneco. She was a straight shooter and never knew a stranger. Marion loved being with her family and enjoyed having a beer with her friends. You always knew where you stood with her. She also enjoyed a little gambling, camping, puzzles, canning, baking, and swearing.
Family and friends will gather to celebrate Marion’s life from 2-5 p.m. Sunday Dec. 15, at Yeager Funeral Home, 1589 Lincolnway South, Ligonier.
In keeping with her wishes, cremation will take place at Legacy Cremation & Remembrance Center in Ligonier.
