Monroe Hummel, 79, Columbia City, died unexpectedly Thursday, Oct. 24, 2024, at home.
He was born April 24, 1945. His wife of 55 years, Jane Hummel, survives.
He also is survived by his daughter, Angela (John) Pettigrew, Churubusco; son, Mark (Kate) Hummel, Goshen; nine grandchildren; twin sister, Nine (Adrian) Shell, Niles, Mich.; and sister, Catherine (Jim) Boren, Huntertown.
Yeager Funeral Home, Ligonier, is handling arrangements.
