Jeffrey D. Poyser, age 60, of Cromwell, passed away at 4:06 p.m. Sunday, June 7, 2015, at Avalon Village, Ligonier. He was born on Oct. 21, 1954, to Jess D. and Annie Mae (Kuhn) Poyser in LaGrange.
He graduated from West Noble High School in 1972 and worked at Tenneco for 19 years. Jeff was a member of 4-H, Sparta Township Fire Department, was an EMT for a number of years, National Campers and Hikers Association, and a lifetime member of the Kentucky Colonels.
Surviving are his father: Jess, Dayton, Ohio; his siblings: John (Lucy) Poyser, Minooka, Ill.; Anita (Larry) Price, North Webster; Alyce Poyser Evans, Bremen; Jon Mock, Valparaiso; William Mock, Michigan; sisters-in-law: Dee Poyser, Ohio; and Susan Poyser, Logansport; and sever nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his mother: Annie Mae; two brothers: Jerry and Joe.
A funeral service will be held in Jeff’s honor at 10 a.m. Thursday, June 11, at Yeager Funeral Home, Ligonier, with Celebrant Larry Baker officiating. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery, North Webster.
There will be a time of visitation from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. Wednesday, June 10, and one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
