Marjory Davidsen

Marjory Louise (Orcutt) Davidsen, 86, Cromwell, died at 10:25 a.m., Wednesday, Jan. 11, 2017.

She was at Parkview Hospital in Fort Wayne.  She was born on May 4, 1930 to Guy William and Ethel Mabel (Klingaman) Orcutt in Etna. She married Thomas Robert “Bud” Davidsen on Feb. 2, 1951; he preceded her in death on July 6, 2011.

Marjory was a lifetime area resident and worked for Essex Wire, Ligonier Quality Bakery, and Cromwell Products. She loved gardening, sewing, painting, crafts and making specialty cakes. She was a member of the Cromwell-Kimmell Lions Club for many years. She was also a devoted member of the Richville United Methodist Church for over 50 years where she had served as a Sunday school teacher and Church Treasurer.

She is survived by five sons: Robert (Vanessa) Davidsen of Jackson, Mich.; Steven (Susan) Davidsen of Indianapolis; James (Mary) Davidsen of Fishers; Michael Davidsen of Cromwell; and Kevin (Christina) Davidsen of Cromwell; nine grandchildren: Christopher, Bradley, Craig, Rachel, Cory, Stephanie, Emma, Nathan, and Zachary; six great grandchildren: Eva, McKenzie, Ellie, Abigail, Brooklyn, and Kallie; along with numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; and six siblings, Joe, Ferman, Stanley, Bernice, Alice, and Arlis.

A funeral service will be held in Marjory’s honor at 10 a.m. Monday, Jan. 16  at Richville United Methodist Church. Pastors Tamara Gerber and Gary Ford will officiate. Burial will take place at Sparta Cemetery in Kimmell, IN.

There will be a time of visitation from 2-6 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 15 at Yeager Funeral Home, 1589 Lincolnway South, Ligonier.  Memorial contributions may be made to Richville United Methodist.

Yeager Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
